Who it suits

For the host who has run out of ideas at the seating plan stage

Private parties stall in the same place every time: drinks are poured, everyone talks to the person they arrived with, and by the second hour the room has split into fixed groups. A hosted table breaks that up without anyone having to organise a game or make a speech.

We bring one or two tables, a croupier who is good with nervous beginners, and enough symbolic chips for every adult guest. Play runs for as long as you want it inside up to 4 hours, and the rest of your evening — food, music, toasts — carries on around it.

Guests keep nothing of value and pay nothing to play. The chips are ours, they go home in the crate, and the only thing anyone takes away is the photographs and the right to tell the story badly at the next family gathering.

Practicalities

Fitting a table into a real home

Most of our private bookings are in houses, condos, rented lofts and country properties rather than function rooms. These are the figures that decide whether it will work.

Home and small-venue requirements
Space per tableRoughly 3.0 m by 2.4 m, including room for guests to stand behind the seated players
AccessA standard doorway is enough. Tables come apart for stairs, lifts and tight landings — tell us the floor and we will plan the carry
GuestsFrom 12 to 60 is typical for a private celebration; we can plan to up to 120 guests
PowerOne standard outlet per table for lighting. No generators, no heavy draw
FloorsFelt pads under every leg. Hardwood, tile and finished concrete are all fine
NoiseNo machines, no sirens, no music of our own. The loudest thing in the room is your guests
Timing45 minutes to set, up to 4 hours of play, 30 minutes to strike
PricingQuoted on request, based on travel, table count, crew and hours

Three ways hosts use it

Shapes that work in a private home

  • The centrepiece. One table, three hours, in the main room. Guests drift in and out of play all evening.
  • The second act. Dinner first, then the table opens at nine and carries the party past the point where it would normally fade.
  • The quiet corner. Two tables in a separate room for the guests who want them, leaving the main space for conversation and dancing.

For your guests, in one line

This is strictly offline event entertainment. There is no real-money gambling, no betting, no cash prizes, and no online casino service.

Nobody pays to play and nobody wins money. We do not bring slot machines or coin-operated machines of any kind — only croupier-hosted tables — and the evening is for guests aged 18+ and over.

Hosting at home with family present? We will not run tables at an event where under-18s are in the room, so please plan the timing with us in advance.

Host questions

Asked by nearly every private host

Do my guests need to know how to play?

No, and most do not. The first half hour is deliberately slow: the croupier explains each decision out loud, nobody is rushed, and questions are expected. Experienced players enjoy this part too, because they end up teaching the table.

Can we choose the games?

Yes. Roulette is the easiest for a mixed room, blackjack is the fastest to learn, and a poker-themed table suits a group that already knows each other well. Tell us the guest list and we will suggest a pairing.

What happens to the chips at the end?

They are counted, a leaderboard is read out, and they go back into our crates. Chips carry no denomination and no value, cannot be exchanged for anything, and are never taken home by guests.

Can we give prizes?

Non-cash keepsakes only — a bottle, a trophy, a framed photograph, a restaurant voucher you have bought yourself. We will present them during the closing count. We do not award money and we will not administer a cash prize on your behalf.

How far will you travel?

We work across Canada from our base in Quebec. Travel beyond the immediate region is quoted as part of the overall figure, so you see one number rather than surprises.
