Enquiry to strike
How it works
Seven stages, no surprises, and a written figure before you commit to anything. This page is the whole process — including the parts most suppliers leave until after you have signed.
- No published rates
- Written quote
- Named evening manager
- Same-night strike
-
Stage 01
Enquiry
You send four details: name, phone, event type and date. That is enough for us to check whether a crew and the kit are free. If the date is already committed we will say so immediately rather than keep you waiting.
-
Stage 02
The call
Fifteen minutes, usually within one business day. We ask about the room, the headcount, who the guests are and what you want them talking about on Monday. We will also tell you plainly if a different format suits you better — including a cheaper one.
-
Stage 03
Site visit or venue call
For production bookings we visit and measure. For straightforward table hire a call with the venue is usually enough: access, door widths, lift, parking, power, occupancy limit and the load-in window.
-
Stage 04
Written quote and floor plan
You receive an itemised figure — crew, kit, travel, hours, styling — with a floor plan drawn to your room and a draft run sheet. We do not publish rates because no two rooms cost the same. Pricing depends on event size, venue and chosen format.
-
Stage 05
Confirmation
A signed scope of work holds the date and the crew. Payment terms, cancellation terms and the symbolic-chip conditions are all in it, in plain language, before anything is paid.
-
Stage 06
The event
Crew arrive 45 to 90 minutes ahead. Tables are set, lighting is dressed, your venue contact is briefed. Doors open, age is checked, chips are issued identically to every guest, and the evening runs to the sheet for up to 4 hours.
-
Stage 07
Count, strike, sign-off
Chips are counted, the leaderboard is read, your non-cash keepsakes are presented. The kit is struck, the room is returned as found, and your manager signs off with ours before the crew leaves.
The chip question
Exactly how symbolic chips work, start to finish
This is the part venues, finance teams and curious guests ask about, so here is the full mechanic with nothing left out.
- Issued free. Every adult guest receives the same allocation at the door. There is no buy-in, no entry fee to play and no way to get more by paying.
- Unmarked. Chips carry no number, no denomination and no currency symbol. Branded chips carry your logo or event name only.
- Non-transferable in value. They may be pushed across a table during play, but they cannot be bought, sold, lent against anything of value or taken home.
- Counted for score. At the end of play, stacks are counted purely to produce a leaderboard.
- Collected. Chips go back into our crates the same night. They do not leave the room with guests.
- Never redeemed. There is no exchange, no payout, no voucher, no credit and no cash equivalent at any point.
