Why it matters

A good croupier makes a nervous guest look clever in front of their colleagues

Tables are furniture. Whether an evening works comes down to the person standing behind one: how quickly they read a table, how patiently they explain a decision for the fourth time, how they deal with the guest who has had one drink too many without anyone else noticing.

We recruit for temperament first and technique second, because technique can be taught. Every croupier we send can teach a complete beginner inside two minutes, keep a table of eight moving, and say “the chips are not worth anything, they are just for the leaderboard” in a way that sounds reassuring rather than defensive.

Role 01

Croupier

Runs one table for the evening: teaching rounds, open play, chip handling and the count. One per table is the standard ratio and we do not recommend stretching it.

Role 02

Floor host

Works the room rather than a table: welcomes guests, issues chips, rotates people between tables so nobody is waiting, and makes the closing announcement. Recommended above 60 guests.

Role 03

Evening manager

Your single point of contact on the night. Holds the run sheet, deals with the venue, handles anything unexpected, and signs off with your organiser before the crew leaves.

Standards

What every crew member is briefed on

Symbolic chips only — never sold, exchanged or redeemed, under any circumstances
Adults only, 18+, with a polite refusal script for anyone who cannot verify age
How to answer “is this real money?” clearly and without hedging
How to step a guest away from a table quietly if they are uncomfortable or have had too much to drink
No gratuities solicited and none accepted at the table
No discussion of the client, the guest list or the evening afterwards
Venue rules, fire exits, occupancy limits and the strike plan

Booking crew
Minimum call	Four hours on site, including set and strike
Ratios	One croupier per table; add a floor host above 60 guests
Uniform	Black tie standard; unbranded or client-branded on request
Languages	English, with bilingual French-speaking hosts on request
Your equipment	We will work on your tables if they are stable, level and safe. We inspect on arrival
Paperwork	Insurance details and supplier forms completed before the date
Pricing	Quoted on request by role, hours and travel

One standing instruction

Our crew will not run a table where real money is being staked, where chips are being sold or exchanged, where a cash prize has been promised, or where anyone under 18+ is playing. This is strictly offline event entertainment. There is no real-money gambling, no betting, no cash prizes, and no online casino service.

If you have worked tables, hosted events, run a bar floor or managed a room, we would like to hear from you. Previous croupier experience is useful but not required — we train. What we cannot train is patience with beginners and a calm manner at one in the morning.

Shifts are evenings and weekends, across Canada, with travel paid. Applicants must be 18+ or over and able to provide references.
